BITalino via the Raspberry Pi UART with C++ API

When trying to connect the BITalino (r)evolution UART in the Raspberry Pi UART (GPIO14 and GPIO15), changing the test.cpp from: BITalino dev("/dev/ttyUSB0"); to BITalino dev("/dev/ttyAMA0); The result may be the same message obtained if no device is connected to the UART: Conection to...

Re: Noise and random behaviour from PZT respiration belts

Would you be available to send us one belt and your main board for inspection?

Best regards,

Re: Noise and random behaviour from PZT respiration belts

Hi, This is quite unusual; the PZT sensor has mechanical operating principle, and hence the main known interferences are motion artifacts. When you get a normal behaviour, is this correlated with fiddling around with the sensor wiring or something? On the subject you mentioned belts... is this behav...

Re: Sequence nSeq

Hi, The difference between nSeqs happens because the actual recording only starts when all devices have started acquiring data. Generally there are a few milliseconds delay between them, and in this case data from the BITalino with nSeq 0 was the last to start arriving, with nSeq 4 was the second an...

Re: Mobile App saving data

Hi Davide,

The files are stored by default on the memory card of your device... no additional actions required.

Through the file explorer you should be able to find the recordings. Let us know if this is not the case.

Re: Raspberry Pi + Python API: Connection unreliable

The Python API usually works well on the Raspberry Pi also. You can configure the sampling rate, number of channels and amount of sampled read from the device. Distance between the device and the receiver is also an important factor, but we'd suggest you try modifying these parameters and see if it ...

Re: Raspberry Pi + Python API: Connection unreliable

Hi there, Are the calls to the read method done in a separate thread? Given that the acquisition is time critical, if you have operations in-between calls to the read method that take much time, it may happen that the connection is dropped due to a buffer overflow on the device. Would this be the ca...

Re: How to interpret the data from the pulse oximeter?

Hi there, Please accept our apologies but we haven't been able to list the documentation for this sensor on our website. However, the transfer function for the SpO2 sensor should be the following for both channels: SpO2(%)=0.25*2^(10-nbits)*ADC-0.8 SpO2 - Blood oxygenation in percentage ADC - Channe...

Re: Notes on the usage and functionality of BITalino (r)evolution BLE devices

Hi everyone, There have been reports of issues while using the BITalino (r)evolution BLE devices together with the Bluegiga BLED112 dongle on Windows 10. Our team has traced these issues to be originated by incorrect drivers installed. To install the correct drivers you need to: ⋅  Downloa...
