Bitalino (ECG) usage while walking, running, jumping

Postby waterbade » Wed Jan 24, 2018 8:07 pm

Hi,
I am trying to create a game using Biosignals, and I was wondering if anybody got the ECgG to work properly while walking around. It works fine when I am sitting but walking introduces a lot of noise, not to mention running or jumping. Can this be changed? I have attached a screenshot of the readings I recieved while sitting and walking.

Hi there,

The electrode placement plays a major role in obtaining a signal that is less influenced by noise. You can see an example here:

While running and jumping it will be more difficult without any changes to the signal conditioning settings of the sensor.

You can also experiment with digital filtering, which will remove things like the baseline wander shown on one of your charts.

Best regards,
