Can the Arduino bootloader be programmed into BITalino?

Postby BITalino » Sun Sep 08, 2013 4:34 pm

It is possible to load the Arduino bootloader to the BITalino MCU at loss of functionality, namely less analog inputs sampled or lower sampling rate.

Should your target application or project require you to use the Arduino bootloader, it may be easier and preferable for you to interface the BITalino sensors with an actual Arduino board.

If I read correctly O4 is SCK, O3 is MISO, O2 is MOSI ?

The chip being a mega 328p can be programmed as a duemillenove is this right?

Regarding the pins you are correct, O4 - SCK, O3 - MISO, O2 - MOSI, RST - Reset MCU.

The base configuration of the BITalino peripherals on the firmware are only adapted to 8MHz unlike the 16MHz clock speed on the Arduino Duemillenove.

Should your target application or project benefit from the use of the Arduino bootloader, it may be easier and preferable for you to interface the BITalino sensors with an actual Arduino board.
