Other MCU

Postby Tavi » Sat Jan 02, 2016 11:04 pm

Hello!

I am Tavi from Romania.

It's said that BITalino sensor and software can work with other MCU. Because we need a smaller form factor for a wearable research device we shall use a RFduino board (15x15x3.5mm) with BLE and ARM Cortex M0 MC. The MC is software compatible with Arduino.

The question is if there is a firmware version already writed for Arduino?

Hi Tavi,

Great to hear from you... we don't yet have our firmware ported to the Arduino, although the protocol is pretty simple and you should be able to duplicate it fairly easily if that's too critical for your particular application.

Nevertheless, our sensors have an analog output, reason for which you can hook them up to any third-party MCU (such as the RFDuino). In case you're interested in porting the firmware you can find the source code available at:
https://github.com/BITalinoWorld/firmware-bitalino

We also have an API for the Arduino, which has been designed to enable data acquisition from BITalino and unpacking via the UART:

Looking forward to hear about your projects. In case you have any additional questions we can help you with just let us know.

Best regards,
The BITalino Team
