Connection bluetooth to another bluetooth on arduino

Postby Agung » Tue Jan 05, 2016 6:08 am

hi!

i have bitalino kits, bluetooth device and arduino mega.

I never tried to connect between bitalino bluetooth to another bluetooth , I 've been setting bluetooth as the master and is already connected to a Bluetooth bitalino but when taken data from arduino is displayed is the character and not the value .

what's the solution??

thanks

Hi there,

Many thanks for your preference for BITalino. We haven't tested such a setup, but it should be pretty straightforward with some of the resources we already have available.

The Bluetooth module used by default on BITalino works in a serial replacement (aka "transparent") mode... you'll find the baud rate and other relevant parameters regarding the communication channel configuration here:
http://bitalino.com/datasheets/BT_Block_Datasheet.pdf

In turn, the firmware on the BITalino MCU is ready to receive commands and stream data "blindly" over the UART using the protocol disclosed in the data sheet available here:
http://bitalino.com/datasheets/MCU_Block_Datasheet.pdf

Some time ago we released an API to facilitate the handling of tasks such as communication with the MCU and data unpacking on Arduino sketches. You can find the source code and instructions here:
https://github.com/BITalinoWorld/arduino-api
http://bitalino.com/docs/arduino-api/

Considering that Bluetooth modules are usually tethered to the UART on the Arduino, you should be able to get your desired setup up & running by doing minor tweaks to our Arduino API.

If you have any further questions don't hesitate to reach out and in case you have any outputs from your work you'd like to share with the community we'll be more than happy to share them on the website and help spread the word.

Best regards,
The BITalino Team

C:\Program Files (x86)\Arduino\hardware\arduino\avr\cores\arduino/main.cpp:34: undefined reference to `setup'
C:\Program Files (x86)\Arduino\hardware\arduino\avr\cores\arduino/main.cpp:44: undefined reference to `loop'

Hi Agung,

Just to make sure... you've used the 'test.ino' sketch available on the link bellow right?

Hi Agung,

It seems that you are trying to upload the 'bitalino.ino' sketch by itself... as you know 'setup()' and 'loop()' are special functions that need to be defined on the Arduino sketches otherwise you get the errors you are reporting. Can you let us know what happens when you try to upload the 'test.ino' sketch?
