Blue tooth connection stops constantly

Postby curiosibot » Sun Apr 10, 2016 4:18 pm

Hi- I want to give a demo of the board to my class, but at the moment, only open signals is stable. When I pair the board and try to read into max, the bluetooth will connect for 30 seconds then drop. Is this a compatibility issue with new macs or something else?

Hi there,

We haven't heard of any issues associated with later model Macs... please test your device on our OpenSignals software to see if the connection is stable there: http://bitalino.com/index.php/software

If you have a stable connection, the drops may be associated with the way the data stream is being handled on MaxMSP.

To interface with MaxMSP you have the OSC bridge by Mick Grierson (http://gitlab.doc.gold.ac.uk/rapid-mix/BITalino-OSC-OSX) and the patch by Joseph Larralde & Riccardo Borghesi (https://github.com/Ircam-RnD/bitalino-max).

Check also the problem is common to both methods or if it is just an issue with the Max patch and let us know the results.

Many thanks,
The BITalino Team
