Port 8890 already in use by another process

Postby nan007 » Thu Oct 26, 2017 6:17 am

Hi,

I installed OpenSignals Win 64-bit (v.2017).
(My OS is Windows 10 Pro, on OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 with Bootcamp 6.0)
When I trying to run it, the following error massage appears.

“Port 8890 already in use by another process. Please close the process.”

I checked port 8890 by cmd, however,

C:\WINDOWS\system32>netstat -ano|findstr "8890"
TCP 0.0.0.0:8890 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING 3392
TCP [::]:8890 [::]:0 LISTENING 3392

C:\WINDOWS\system32>tasklist|findstr "3392"
python.exe 3392 Console 1 58,700 K

there isn’t any process using it except python which called by OpenSignals itself.

Any idea of what might be the cause of this error and how to fix it?

I've checked the chrome browser version and it is updated.
I've ever installed python 3 before OpenSignals, but I've uninstalled it and changed python's path to the folder of OpenSignals in environment variable setting for trying to solve this problem.
I’ve also restarted the OpenSignals, or my computer many times.

Thanks!

Hello,

you usually can find the error if you run the software on your terminal/console. You can also contact support@plux.info for better support.

Thanks
