What features should we add in future versions of BITalino?

USB power while running + battery in case of failure

Would be great if one could keep continuous operation through USB power and have the battery as a back-up power source.

I agree, it would also be helpful when debugging, or when getting started for the first time.

Bluetooth connectivity actually serves the dual-purpose of wide interoperability and galvanic isolation. As of early 2014, BITalino will also start launching it's accessory line, which will include a special purpose opto-isolated USB adapter.

As it stands now, you can already use a standard FTDI breakout (BITalino has a compatible pinout to the ones used for the Arduino Pro Mini).

Keep in mind though that without an adequate accessory and if you have a sensor such as the ECG / EMG / EDA, in the unlikely event of a high-voltage power surge (e.g. lightning strike) capable of blasting through the protection on your electrical box, power outlet, or computer, it may lead to injury.

OK!! Better wait for the accessory, then :-)
