Are there any detailed schematics on the MCU and the PWR blocks?

Since I want to communicate with the BITalino over USB, I was told to remove the PWR block. Now when connecting it with the FTDI cable it does not run. When I reconnected the PWR block, something shortened out on the PWR block and burned. So I now want to know what I did wrong and therefore I need the schematics.

The instructions to connect the BITalino MCU via USB are available here:

The usual culprits for the MCU not to work are the RST pin on the MCU connected to the DTR on the FTDI (which can put the MCU always being reset), or the lack of a connection between AVCC and DVCC (which without the PWR block need to be connected in order to power the MCU).

When connecting both the PWR block and the FTDI, when the PWR is disconnected the FTDI feeds 3.3V to the input of one of the voltage regulators on the PWR block, causing it to short circuit.

E-mail us to and we'll send you the schematics.

Best regards,
The BITalino Team
