FlowerBIT: A tweeting flower vase

Postby BITalino » Sun Sep 08, 2013 5:53 pm

FlowerBIT is an electronic device based on the BITalino Freestyle, that can be applied to a flower vase to monitor parameters such as light, temperature, soil moisture, among others.

All parameters can be observed in real time at the computer, although FlowerBIT can even send regular Tweets so that people can know about its "health" status.

The demo software is available for download on our website:

Hello,

I was curious about what kind of hardware was used for the IMP (Impedance?) sensor to measure the soil hydration. Could you send me the details on it since it is related a project i am trying to perform using BITalino.

Regards,
Ricky

Hi Ricky,

Thank you for the interest in the FlowerBIT project. We used a sensor from this family:

If you have any further question just let us know.

Best regards,
