Purpose of STAT pin?

Postby securd » Sat Jun 21, 2014 6:22 pm

Hi,
Could you please describe the use of the Status Pin on the processor board? Apparently it needs to be raised to a logic 1 in order to utilize the UART / serial connection. The reason I ask is that if utilizing a Bluetooth virtual serial port for connection with a remote Raspberry Pi, do I need to worry about this pin?

Thank you,
Steve.

Hi Steve,

The STATUS_BT pin needs to be at logic high, but since this pin has an internal pull-up, in principle it should be safe to leave it unconnected.

Best regards,
