Using PWR module to charge LiPo batteries with higher mAh

Postby geekonacid » Tue Nov 18, 2014 12:32 pm

I recon the answer is yes, but I thought I will double check (so things won't explode) - can I use Bitalino PWR module to charge 3.7v LiPo batteries with higher mAh than the battery the kit comes with?

Hi there,

The PWR block should be able to charge any 3.7V LiPo battery regardless of the capacity. Note however, that the maximum current provided by the charger is 500mA, which will reflect on the charging time (e.g. 500mAh battery = 1h, 1000mAh battery = 2h, ...).

Best regards,
